Clinicians who order tests and teams who track their results

    Lab and imaging

Orders leave with the reason they were placed, results come back to the patient’s record, and nothing abnormal waits unseen in an inbox.

    The loop

    1. 01

      Order

Tests or imaging requested from the encounter, with the reason.

    2. 02

      Receive

Results matched to patient and order, trended against history.

    3. 03

      Acknowledge

Abnormal values reach the ordering clinician until acknowledged.

    Where it is used

    What it does not do

It does not interpret images or issue a diagnosis. It files, trends and routes results; the reading stays with the qualified professional.

    The six questions

    What is it?
An order-to-result loop for laboratory tests and imaging, connected to the encounter and the record.
    Who is it for?
Ordering clinicians, the nurses who collect samples, and the teams who follow up results.
    Which problem does it solve?
Results arrive by fax, PDF or portal, get filed late or to the wrong patient, and an abnormal value can sit unread for days.
    How does it work?
Orders are placed from the encounter with their clinical reason. Structured results are matched to the patient and the order, trended against earlier values, and abnormal ones are routed to the ordering clinician with an acknowledgement step.
    How is it different?
The loop closes on the order, not on the document: an order without a result, or a result without an acknowledgement, stays visible until someone acts.
    What is the proof?
Each result shows who ordered it, when it arrived, who acknowledged it and what follow-up was recorded.
