      Sign and send

The prescriber signs; the prescription reaches the patient and the pharmacy.

    Where it is used

    What it does not do

It never prescribes on its own and never removes an alert without the prescriber’s decision. Checks support clinical judgement; they do not replace it. See clinical safety for how alerts are governed.

    The six questions

    What is it?
A prescribing workspace inside the encounter, from drug selection to signed, transmitted prescription.
    Who is it for?
Physicians, dentists, midwives and other prescribers, plus the pharmacists who receive their prescriptions.
    Which problem does it solve?
Prescriptions are often written without the full treatment list, then corrected by phone once the pharmacy spots a problem.
    How does it work?
The current treatments and allergies are loaded with the encounter. Each line is checked for interactions, duplicates and dosage limits before signature, and the prescriber sees why an alert was raised.
    How is it different?
Alerts are graded and explained, so the prescriber reviews the few that matter instead of dismissing a wall of warnings.
    What is the proof?
Every prescription keeps its version, the alerts shown, the prescriber’s decision and the transmission status in the audit trail.
